Persistence in Business: Nose to the Grindstone & Atomic Habits
I used to approach personal growth with giant, sweeping changes—like deciding I’d go to the gym every single day. Sound familiar? We’ve all been there. But then I’d miss a day, feel like I failed, and lose momentum.
That’s when I discovered the power of small, consistent changes. One of my favorite books, Atomic Habits, completely shifted my mindset. Instead of overhauling my life overnight, I started setting tiny, manageable habits—and it worked.
Take fitness, for example. I didn’t jump into an intense routine; I simply started walking for 15 minutes. Once that habit was locked in, I naturally increased it. Now, I walk 45 minutes, about five days a week—without even thinking about it.
The same principle applies to business. Six months ago, I committed to marketing, but instead of overwhelming myself, I set small, structured habits:
✔️ Blogging – 45 minutes a few times a week
✔️ Social media engagement – 15 minutes in the morning & evening
✔️ Marketing campaigns – Scheduled and consistent
None of these are “quick growth” strategies, but consistency compounds over time. The results? Increased engagement, steady brand growth, and a solid marketing foundation—all from small, repeatable actions.
I know I’ve mentioned Atomic Habits in my blogs before, but it truly changed both my personal and business growth. Small daily actions add up to BIG transformations. Stick with it, and you’ll move mountains.
